Napoleon's house

We're home!

It's been a long time since I've entered a post into my blog. I thought that this would be a good time to make an entry. We just got back from Pocatello, ID where we had my family reunion. It was a long trip home w/ two small kids under the age of 3, but we made it!
My favorite part of the trip was when Mark and I left the kids w/ their Auntie and Grandma, and took off to Preston, ID where the movie "Napoleon Dynamite" was filmed. Mark and I stayed at a hotel in Logan, UT the night before, since there really isn't anywhere to stay in Preston. We went and saw all the sites from the movie and got lots of pictures and some of our own re-enactments of the movie ;) We must have looked like a couple of geeky tourists to the residents of Preston, but we had a lot of fun. I'm sure they are used to it by now.
The worst part of the trip was the overwhelmingness of the LDS(Mormon) culture in my family. I understand that the church plays a big part of their lives, but a little sensitivity to those around you would be nice. Maybe they forget that I'm no longer a Mormon and my husband never was one. We're not entertained by baptism bloopers, Church History tours, the BYU channel, and who holds which callings. I love my family dearly, but it seems so awkward at times.
We did enjoy playing games, and Kyrie and Isaiah loved playing w/ their older cousins.

And w/ that, it's time I go to bed so I can get up and catch up on life. I so look forward to unpacking, shopping, and going back to work. NOT! ;)
